Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command is seeking a SPEC-ORDER CLERK to provide knowledgeable, courteous service for Special Orders to internal and external customers via phone, email, and company systems.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Value-Added Services, the role supports stores, vendors, and distribution teams while maintaining documentation and PII compliance. Requires reliable, efficient handling of orders, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, or holidays when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in clerical office or retail settings.
• Ability to handle special orders documentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to Special Order inquiries via phone, email, and internal systems.
• Creates new items, cuts purchase orders, provides ETA to stores.
• Tracks orders and updates delivery status to stores and partners.
• Liaises between stores, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth orders.
• Handles time-sensitive issues, escalating to supervisor when needed.
• Follows policies and keeps PII and procedures up-to-date.
