Qualifications

• Ability to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and provides specialized services; performs transactions quickly, efficiently and professionally.
• Provides layaway services and explains layaway policies and requirements.
• Provides refunds, merchandise exchanges, and price adjustments, in accordance with NEX policy.
• Takes and places customer special orders, computes costs and deposits, and follows up with Buyer/Vendor.
• Monitors rain checks, tracks orders, and updates customers on delivery status.
• Assists customers with opening NEXCARD accounts and handling account questions and payments.
• Resolves customer problems and complaints tactfully, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Interacts with customers in a friendly and professional manner and adheres to dress codes.
• Communicates information to customers knowledgeably and follows up on commitments.
• Reviews stock assortments and participates in department meetings to discuss improvements.
• Performs cash register transactions accurately, including various payment types.
• Keeps informed about competitor activity and upcoming sales events.
• Supports sales team and assists with training new associates.
