Job summary

Vail School District is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support teachers and students throughout the school day. You will assist in preparing instructional materials, implementing IEP-driven activities, and providing individualized support under supervision.

Responsibilities include direct student instruction, maintaining records, and helping with behavior management plans to promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing student IEPs and implement daily lesson plans aligned to IEP goals.
• Provide direct student instruction in individual or small group settings.
• Maintain and organize student records and document progress toward IEP goals.
• Assist classroom teacher as workload allows and support behavior management plans.
• Assist with activities on and off campus, including field trips and assemblies.
