Job summary

The position emphasizes collaboration with teachers, caseworkers, and mental health professionals, ensuring IEPs are implemented effectively and safety is maintained throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• CPI training within 3 months of hire.
• If assigned to a Title I school, meet two of the following criteria: two years of higher education or an associate's degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist general classroom or special education teachers with instruction and behavioral support.
• Support students with mobility, personal care, and health-related needs as required.
• Monitor student progress and assist with IEP implementation and data collection.
• Provide supervision and safety in classrooms, hallways, and during transitions.
• Collaborate with staff to adapt materials and accommodations for diverse learners.

Education
