Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff supervision. You will work with individuals and small groups, adapt curriculum, monitor progress, and help with materials, tests, and classroom routines.

The role includes assisting in remote learning contexts, providing technologic help, and supporting behavior strategies and safe environments for students with varied needs.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required
• No professional work experience required
• Title I assignments requirements: two years of higher education or an associate's degree or meeting standards through assessment

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs (Daily, 35%).
• Implement accommodations and track student progress with licensed staff (Daily, 30%).
• Assist with materials, tests, attendance and documentation (Daily, 5%).
• Perform other duties as assigned (Daily, 5%).
• Monitor behavior and support social interactions in ILC/ILC-related settings (15%+10%+5%).
