Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with extensive special education needs under licensed staff guidance. You will assist with curriculum adaptation, behavior strategies, and progress tracking across individual and small-group settings.

In remote learning contexts, you will facilitate technology access, reinforce coursework, and support executive functioning strategies.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Title I assignments require two years of higher education or an associate’s degree or equivalent competency

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs (Daily).
• Implement IEP accommodations and maintain progress records with licensed staff (Daily).
• Prepare materials and assist with tests, attendance, and documentation (Daily).
• Provide direct support in online/remote environments and assist with technology access (Daily).
• Monitor behavior and reinforce appropriate actions; assist with de-escalation as needed (Daily).
