Qualifications

• Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
• Must enjoy working with children.
• Must be considered highly qualified in the state of PA by completing at least one of the listed requirements below.
• a. Have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary study (48 credits) or
• b. Possess an associated degree or higher or
• c. Meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a State or local assessment (Paraeducator Credential of Competence).

Responsibilities

• The Instructional Assistant fills a critical role in implementing and serving students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher and principal.
• The position will work supporting students with special needs duringDrama activities before or after school/weekends during the school year.
