Job summary

The Instructional Assistant will work under the direction of the special education teacher and principal to support students with disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting during Drama activities before or after school and on weekends during the school year.

The position requires experience with special needs students, a keen interest in working with children, and PA qualifications such as 48 credits or an associate degree, or a state credential.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have experience with students with special needs.
• Must enjoy working with children.
• At least one PA qualification: 2 years post-secondary, an associate degree, or passing a state credential.

Responsibilities

• Fills a critical role in implementing and serving students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher and principal.
• Supports students with special needs during Drama activities before or after school/weekends during the school year.
