Job summary

The School District of Springfield Township is seeking candidates to serve as Instructional Assistants to support students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher and principal. The role is part-time, working with Speeder Kids activities after school (and before/weekends as needed) during the 9/17/26 to 10/22/26 period.

Candidates should have experience with special needs (preferred) and enjoy working with children; PA qualifications include two years of

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Must enjoy working with children.
• Be considered highly qualified in PA by meeting one of: 2 years postsecondary study (48 credits) or an associate degree or meet a rigorous standard via Paraeducator Credential.

Responsibilities

• The Instructional Assistant supports students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher and principal.
• Supports students with special needs during Speeder Kids activities before or after school/weekends during the school year.
• Performs other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor.
