Job summary

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication abilities at an intermediate level.
• Ability to collaborate with drivers, parents, and staff.
• Ability to learn and apply district transport policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students with special needs during bus rides and respond to medical or behavioral situations.
• Provide emotional support and assist students with entering/exiting the bus and securing seating.
• Ensure safe securing of wheelchairs and repositioning as needed.
• Assist with pre- and post-trip inspections and reporting.
• Communicate student information to bus drivers and guardians; maintain confidential records.
• Support emergency evacuation planning and execution when required.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
