Job summary

Cherry Creek School District Transportation Department seeks a Non-CDL Driver to contribute to safe, efficient student transportation. You will drive regular routes, support field trips, assist with para-educator tasks, and help with other duties as needed to ensure reliable service for students and families.

Responsibilities include transporting students, assisting those with special needs, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining reporting, safety, and customer-service standards daily.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students using a district vehicle along specified routes
• Load and unload students at various stops and destinations with support for students with specials needs
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections ensuring safe vehicle operations
• Provide exceptional customer-service to students, parents/guardians, and staff
• Carry out student discipline activities as needed
• Complete Medicaid paperwork for reimbursement purposes
• Communicate information to students and staff in emergencies
• Maintain cleanliness of district vehicles
• Perform evacuation drills as required
• Participate in training activities required by Transportation Department
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma

CPR and First Aid certifications

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Basic interpersonal relations skills

Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations
