Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools Transportation Department seeks a Non-CDL Driver to transport students on regular routes and field trips, assist in para-educator duties, and support students with special needs to ensure safe, courteous transportation.

Requires HSE, valid Colorado driver's license, CPR/First Aid, and DOT physical; background check and fingerprinting; no prior work experience required; district-provided training.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• DOT physical completion.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students on district routes and report delays or incidents.
• Load and unload students; provide support for students with specials needs.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections for safe vehicle operation.
• Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff.
• Carry out student discipline activities as needed.
• Complete Medicaid paperwork for reimbursement purposes.
• Communicate procedures during emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of district vehicles.
• Participate in evacuation drills as required.
• Engage in required Transportation Department training annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
