Job summary

The City of Farmers Branch is seeking a flexible Events Coordinator to assist the Special Events team with planning and coordinating citywide events and festivals, ensuring top quality experiences for residents and visitors.

You will coordinate vendors, entertainers, VIP experiences, volunteers, ticketing, and site wayfinding; assist with signage, event content, and revenue-enhancing efforts while maintaining accurate records in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or four years of relevant experience.
• Experience with planning and executing city events or festivals preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
• Experience with ActiveNet software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, planning, preparation, and execution of citywide events and festivals.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, entertainers, and volunteers.
• Assist with purchasing, inventory, and signage for events; maintain records.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure safety at events.
