Job summary

City of Fishers is seeking an enthusiastic Event Support role to assist with on-site operations, setup/teardown, and guest services for parks programs and community events. The position requires evening/weekend availability,ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to travel within Fishers for promotional activity.

Primary responsibilities include supporting event logistics, registration, and promotions, with occasional light administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old by start date.
• Willing to work 20–25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak season.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet City insurance requirements (3+ years driving).
• Must learn new software and POS systems.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site event operations for parks programs, concerts, festivals and community events.
• Support setup and teardown of tents, tables, chairs, barricades, signage and promotional materials.
• Provide excellent customer service to attendees, vendors, sponsors and partners.
• Staff information tents and assist guests with event information and wayfinding.
• Travel within Fishers to promote events and distribute materials at local businesses and community locations.
• Assist with inventory, organization, loading/unloading and storage of event equipment and supplies.
• Support light office tasks including registration system support and POS support.
