Job summary

Gfoat seeks an Events Coordinator to assist the Special Events team in planning and coordinating the City’s festivals. You will help coordinate vendors, contractors, musicians, and work crews, and manage content on event websites with strong customer service.

Ideal candidates are creative, organized, and able to work late nights, weekends, and flexible hours. A high school diploma (or equivalent) and background check are required, along with CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic office and business procedures, city policies, and rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate diverse rentals and events, enforce policies and procedures, and make mature judgments.
  • Must be able to work late nights, weekends, and flexible hours.
  • Must pass a criminal background check within three months of the start date and a negative drug test.
  • This position is safety-sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certifications are required.
  • Experience with ActiveNet software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Special Events team with planning and coordinating the City’s special events and festivals.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and musicians, and manage work crews.
  • Update and manage content on event websites.
  • Employ industry best practices and provide excellent customer service.
