Qualifications

• Education/Certification: 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment; Educational Aide Certification.
• Knowledge regarding disabilities preferred.
• Ability to assist students with job and task analysis.
• Ability to assist with travel training as part of post‑secondary activities.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
• Ability to lift, toileting, feeding and other daily living skills as needed.
• Bus driver training as needed or required.
• Experience: Background related to working with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district policies and procedures.
• Assist in instructional/work-related training under supervision of the Work‑Based Learning teacher.
• Assist with job and task analysis at each worksite.
• Assist in job accommodations and adaptations for students at the worksite.
• Follow Work‑Based Learning teacher instruction and guidance.
• Participate in staff development related to work‑based learning.
• Create instructional materials/visual schedules as needed.
• Systematically collect data and documentation to support training decisions.
