The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with Title I candidates possibly needing college credits or to pass the Title I assessment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• If Title I, 48 hours of college credit or pass Title I assessment test is required.

Responsibilities

• Adapts and provides accommodations of classroom activities and materials to enable participation.
• Aids students in and out of classroom and supports social growth and independence.
• Assists students with personal care needs as required to enable functioning in school settings.
• Attends trainings to stay compliant with state requirements and share updates with staff.
• Collaborates with staff to support student progress as outlined in IEP under certified staff guidance.
• Implements behavioral plans designed by IEP teams to support student needs.
• Helps manage challenging behaviors and supports development of new skills.
• Teaches students in activities across academics, social skills, and daily living tasks.
• Maintains instructional materials and data sheets for progress tracking.
