The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) seeks Grade 1-5 SPED certified coaches to support students with reading, math, and executive function needs.

You will work one-on-one, use evidence-based instruction, and collaborate with families and teachers to foster measurable progress in reading and related skills. This contract role offers flexible hours including after-school and weekend sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Certification as Reading Specialist, Math Specialist or SPED Teacher.
  • Experience with neurodivergent learners and diverse needs.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and motivate students.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize assessment tools to identify specific learning needs for each student.

Job description

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is looking for passionate Grade 1-5 SPED certified coaches to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will work one-on-one with students who require reading/math/executive function intervention and support.

Position: Grade 1-5 Educational Specialist

Classification: Contract (1099)

The Role:
  • Provide individualized instruction using evidence based instruction to support to students diagnosed with one or more of the following: ADD/ADHD, ASD, Executive Dysfunction

  • Utilize our assessment tools to identify specific areas of need for each student.

  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans that address students’ unique challenges.

  • Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed.

  • Collaborate with parents and educators to communicate student progress and strategies for support.

  • Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to achieve their reading goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree Special Education, or Speech Language Pathology

  • Certification as a Reading Specialist, Math Specialist or SPED Teacher

  • Experience working with neurodivergent learning populations

  • Strong understanding of intervention strategies and evidence-based practices.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to build rapport and encourage students to enhance their reading skills.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including after-school and weekend sessions.

  • $65/hr-$85/hr
