Job summary

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is seeking passionate Grade 1-5 SPED certified coaches to work one-on-one with students needing reading, math, and executive function intervention. The contract (1099) role involves assessment-led planning and progress monitoring in a supportive setting.

Ideal candidates hold a SPED/reading specialist certification, experience with neurodivergent learners, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Speech Language Pathology.
• Certification as Reading Specialist, Math Specialist or SPED Teacher.
• Experience working with neurodivergent learners.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based intervention practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and support reading goals.
• Availability for after-school and weekend sessions.

Job description

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is looking for passionate Grade 1-5 SPED certified coaches to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will work one-on-one with students who require reading/math/executive function intervention and support.

Position: Grade 1-5 Educational Specialist

Classification: Contract (1099)

The Role

• Provide individualized instruction using evidence based instruction to support to students diagnosed with one or more of the following: ADD/ADHD, ASD, Executive Dysfunction
• Utilize our assessment tools to identify specific areas of need for each student
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans that address students' unique challenges
• Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed
• Collaborate with parents and educators to communicate student progress and strategies for support
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to achieve their reading goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree Special Education, or Speech Language Pathology
• Certification as a Reading Specialist, Math Specialist or SPED Teacher
• Experience working with neurodivergent learning populations
• Strong understanding of intervention strategies and evidence-based practices
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to build rapport and encourage students to enhance their reading skills
• Availability to work flexible hours, including after-school and weekend sessions
