The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is seeking Grade 1-5 SPED certified coaches to work one-on-one with students needing reading, math, and executive function intervention. The role emphasizes individualized instruction, ongoing assessment, and collaboration with families to support progress.

Ideal candidates hold SPED credentials, Reading or Math Specialist certification, and experience with neurodivergent learners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Certification as a Reading Specialist, Math Specialist or SPED Teacher is required.
  • Experience with neurodivergent populations is essential.
  • Strong understanding of intervention strategies and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction using evidence-based methods for students with ADD/ADHD, ASD, or executive function needs.
  • Use assessment tools to identify learning gaps for each student.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans addressing each student's challenges.
  • Monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed.

Job description

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is looking for passionate Grade 1-5 SPED certified coaches to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will work one-on-one with students who require reading/math/executive function intervention and support.

Position: Grade 1-5 Educational Specialist

Classification: Contract (1099)

The Role
  • Provide individualized instruction using evidence based instruction to support to students diagnosed with one or more of the following: ADD/ADHD, ASD, Executive Dysfunction
  • Utilize our assessment tools to identify specific areas of need for each student
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans that address students' unique challenges
  • Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed
  • Collaborate with parents and educators to communicate student progress and strategies for support
  • Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to achieve their reading goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree Special Education, or Speech Language Pathology
  • Certification as a Reading Specialist, Math Specialist or SPED Teacher
  • Experience working with neurodivergent learning populations
  • Strong understanding of intervention strategies and evidence-based practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to build rapport and encourage students to enhance their reading skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including after-school and weekend sessions
