Job summary

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) seeks passionate Grade 1-5 SPED certified coaches to work one-on-one with students needing reading, math, and executive function support. The role is Contract (1099) and emphasizes individualized instruction, progress monitoring, and family collaboration.

Ideal candidates hold a SPED teaching credential or related degree, certifications in Reading/Math Specialization, and experience with neurodivergent learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certification as Reading Specialist, Math Specialist or SPED Teacher.
• Experience with neurodivergent learning populations.
• Strong understanding of intervention strategies and evidence-based practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction using evidence-based methods for students with ADD/ADHD, ASD, or executive dysfunction.
• Utilize assessment tools to identify specific areas of need for each student.
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans addressing unique challenges.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with parents and educators to communicate progress and strategies for support.
• Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that motivates reading growth.
• Maintain a reliable weekly schedule and available after-school/weekend sessions.
