Job summary

The position supports Special and General Education teachers, assists with behavior management, data collection, and tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs.

The role involves one-to-one support for students with significant needs, assisting with administration and scoring tests, and adapting activities to classroom objectives.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• At least 30 college credit hours.
• Current Educational Aide certification or willingness to obtain TEA certification.
• Interest in helping students with significant needs, including medical needs.
• Ability to assist with self-help, mobility, academic, and behavioral skills.
• Commitment to YES Prep mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education and General Education teachers with supervision in all instructional settings.
• Model and reinforce positive behaviors and behavior management techniques.
• Maintain data aligned to IEP goals and Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Help tailor lessons to individual student needs and support lesson plans.
• Provide one-to-one support and assist with assessments and accommodations.
