Job summary

YES Prep in Houston, TX seeks a Special Education Teaching Assistant for a 10-month role. You will support both Special Education and General Education teachers, manage student behavior, and help tailor instruction to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 30 semester hours college credit.
• Current Educational Aide certification or willingness to acquire TEA Educational Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education and General Education teachers with supervision of students in all instructional settings.
• Assist with behavior management techniques and reinforce desired behaviors.
• Maintain data per IEP goals and behavior plans; tailor lessons to individual needs.
• Provide one-to-one support and assist with administration and scoring of tests.
