Responsibilities

• Engage students in instructional activities under the direction of the teacher.
• Help students master instructional materials assigned by teachers.
• Perform clerical duties in support of the special education classroom (attendance, materials, forms, displays).
• Assist in modifying instructional materials.
• Administer and record tests and grades as directed by the teacher.
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Record data related to IEP objectives and plans.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and materials; prepare orders.
• Read to students and participate in oral communications.
• Support classroom teacher in maintaining a positive learning environment.
