Job summary

Conecta Education is hiring an Occupational Therapist for the greater Santa Cruz County Area. The position is full-time from August 2026 to June 2027, 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 7:45 am–4:15 pm, 1/2 hour unpaid lunch).

You will provide school-based occupational therapy services, conduct evaluations, develop goals and treatment plans, and collaborate with teachers and families to support student success with IDEA and CA regulations in mind.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, active licensure through the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
• Valid California driver’s license (if travel between school sites is required).
• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with each student’s IEP (Individualized Education Program).
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and self-care skills.
• Develop measurable goals and treatment plans aligned with educational objectives.
• Deliver direct therapy services (individual and/or group) in school-based settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings, including initial, annual, and triennial reviews.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, service logs, and assessment reports.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
• Provide consultation to school staff regarding classroom accommodations and strategies.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA and California state regulations.
• Support students in accessing the curriculum through adaptive techniques, equipment, and environmental modifications.

• Elementary and Middle School age students
• Pay starts at $78an hour!
