Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our Elementary learning centers in Illinois. You will lead instruction for students with IEPs, using tailored plans and integrated technology to support diverse needs.

Responsibilities include delivering differentiated instruction, co‑teaching when needed, and tracking student progress to inform ongoing education plans and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Licensed or in process for IL professional educator credential.
• Licensed or in process for IL SSE or LBS1 credential.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction with personalized lesson plans.
• Use diverse instructional methods and educational software.
• Maintain IEPs, goals, and interventions for students.
• Create detailed daily lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to meet goals.
• Track progress and generate reports on student outcomes.
