Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education from a PSC-approved college or university
• Georgia certification required

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide learning experiences based on the district's AKS curriculum.
• Demonstrate command of the subject and provide direct and specially designed instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop academic and behavioral programs.
• Lead as an active faculty member and conduct in-service programs on special education and IDEA.
• Communicate with regular educators to support students with disabilities.
• Develop instructional objectives aligned to AKS and assess student learning.
• Organize content and present information in a logical sequence.
• Use research-based instructional strategies and technology to enhance learning.
• Provide formative and summative assessment and feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behavior.
