• Knowledge of the GCPS AKS curriculum and content
• Ability to integrate curriculum and follow GCPS policies
• Understanding the teaching/learning process
• Ability to infuse technology to increase learning
• Ability to work with administrators, colleagues, staff, students, parents, and community
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong human relations and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Plan learning experiences based on the district AKS curriculum and create a supportive learning environment
• Demonstrate command of the subject being taught and align objectives with AKS
• Develop short- and long-term instructional objectives aligned to AKS
• Identify prerequisite skills and adapt instruction to promote mastery
• Assess student work and adjust instruction based on formative results
• Organize content for presentation and ensure logical sequencing of lessons
• Provide formative and summative assessments and maintain records
• Maintain classroom organization and manage behavior to support learning
