Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an Elementary-level learning center and/or classroom in Illinois. You will lead instructional planning and deliver targeted instruction for students with IEPs, using innovative resources and technology to meet diverse needs.

Responsibilities include collaboration with families and staff, PBIS implementation, progress tracking, and detailed lesson planning aligned to state standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or related field.
• IL PEL credential in process
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive, collaborative classroom involving students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Establish a respectful classroom climate emphasizing PBIS and social development.
• Deliver differentiated instruction to meet IEP goals.
• Develop and implement IEPs and progress reports.
• Prepare detailed daily lesson plans aligned with standards.
• Utilize educational software and instructional technology.
• Maintain organized student files and reports.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and respond to feedback
