Job summary
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education in Illinois seeks a Special Education Teacher for Elementary students in an Alternative Education setting. You will lead instruction for students with IEPs, design personalized lessons, integrate educational software, and develop schedules aligned to state standards.
You will collaborate with colleagues to implement PBIS, differentiate instruction, manage IEPs, track progress, and communicate with families.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
- Licensed or in process for IL PEL credential.
- IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or obtained.
- Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
- Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
Responsibilities
- Lead instructional process for Elementary students with IEPs.
- Deliver differentiated instruction and manage IEP goals.
- Develop comprehensive daily lesson plans aligned to standards.
- Collaborate with staff and families; track student progress.
- Implement PBIS and adapt materials for diverse needs.
