Job summary

Bristol Public Schools is seeking a paraeducator to assist in individual and small group instruction at Stafford Elementary School. The role reports to the Special Education Teacher and involves supervising students, assisting with IEPs, and supporting classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED and/or two years of college credit or an associates degree.
• Parapro Assessment or related credential may be required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions and to support instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with instruction under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Assist teacher with instructional activities and discipline.
• Escort students between rooms and supervise during recess and lunch.
• Escort and support students with IEP implementation.
• Assist with classroom tasks and prepare instructional materials.
