Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; two years of college or an associate degree or Parapro Assessment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers and handle money, weight, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Assist teacher with maintaining discipline and instructional activities.
• Escort students between rooms and supervise during recess and lunch.
• Assist with IEP implementation and prepare materials/paperwork.
• Support students including toileting as needed and monitor safety.
