Mounds View Public Schools is seeking a Special Education and Supervisory Paraeducator to support students in classrooms and community settings. The role involves instructional support, behavior monitoring and collaboration with teachers to implement plans.

The position offers a 7.58-hour day with a 30-minute break, CPI training if needed, and benefits under the paraeducators contract. Start date is November 9, 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional acceptable credentials.
• Excellent human relations skills when dealing with staff, students, and community.
• Ability to present information one-on-one and in small groups.
• Ability to work with emotionally, physically and/or mentally impaired students.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Instruct and support students in classrooms, other learning sites and community settings; assist in developing self-advocacy and independence.
• Monitor, evaluate and record classroom behaviors; discuss expectations with students and apply appropriate consequences.
• Meet with teacher to determine appropriate levels of student performance and modifications of objectives.
• Provide supervision during lunch, hallways, field trips and other duties as needed.
• Assist with daily instructional plans and preparation of classroom materials.
