Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools is hiring a Paraeducator to assist with instructional, clerical, and supervisory tasks. The position involves supporting students under a certified teacher, guiding lessons, and performing clerical duties within the school environment.

Work hours are 6.70 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a paid structure including instructional, clerical, and supervisory components. Competitive benefits are provided per the paraeducator agreement.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and one of: AA/AS/AAS (or higher) or two years post-secondary coursework (60 sem credits/90 quarter credits) toward bachelor’s degree or passing ParaPro.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to students, staff and parents.
• Ability to communicate effectively and write clearly.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a certified teacher, assist in implementing lesson plans and support students with supervision and discipline.
• Support teachers by guiding and working with students in class or small groups; monitor progress and record results.
• Perform clerical functions: maintain records, file papers, update cum folders, copy materials, and prepare instructional sheets.
