Job summary

Rochester Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Educational Support Paraprofessional to assist at the school site with students who qualify for special education services. The role includes implementing IEP goals under certified staff, providing instructional and behavioral support, and collecting data to monitor progress.

Responsibilities cover supervision before, during, and after school, limited personal cares, and collaboration with teachers and related staff.

Qualifications

60 college credits and/or a two-year degree from an accredited college.
High School diploma or GED required.
Experience working with elementary age students.
Computer skills preferred.
Flexibility and the ability to work as a cooperative team member.
Regular, on-time attendance is required.

Responsibilities

Support students with IEP goals under certified staff guidance.
Provide instructional and behavioral support, data collection, and progress reporting.
Assist with personal cares as needed.
Observe and document student progress and communicate with teachers.
Supervise students before, during, and after school activities.
Assist during meals, recess, and field trips.
