Job summary

Rochester Public Schools is seeking a Special Education ESP paraprofessional to support students with disabilities at the school site under certified staff guidance. You may assist with instructional support, behavior management, health tasks, data collection, and communicating progress to teachers.

Responsibilities include following IEP goals, assisting with personal cares, supervising during meals and recess, utilizing iPads for communication, and helping create an inclusive classroom

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional position requires 60 college credits or a 2-year degree, or completion of Paraeducator Assessments.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with elementary students and ability to work in a team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow student Behavior Intervention Plans and Emergency Healthcare Plans.
• Provide support to students with personal cares as needed.
• Observe and document students' academic and social behaviors.
• Regular, on-time attendance is required.
