Job summary

New Story Schools in Carlisle, PA is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students ages 5–21 with autism and behavioral challenges. You will work closely with teachers to assist with academics, daily living skills, and behavioral goals, providing patient, encouraging direct support.

You will help implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans, assist with transitions and personal care, and collect progress data to maintain a safe, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities
