New Story Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist in delivering individualized support for students aged 5–21 with autism and other challenges. You will help with academics, behavior, and daily living goals, following IEPs and PBSPs under teacher guidance, and assist with transitions and personal care while maintaining a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have behavior management knowledge and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
