Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking a part-time Paraprofessional to assist the Special Education Teacher with the implementation of Specialized Programs and IEPs, supporting students with disabilities in the regular classroom on a continuum of services.

The role emphasizes following teacher plans, maintaining confidentiality, assisting with materials, attending professional development, and supporting daily living activities as needed, while upholding district policies and FERPA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• AA degree OR 60 college credit hours OR successful completion of Dysart approved exam.
• Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification from an accredited agency (in person).
• Obtain and maintain AZ Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).
• Possess a negative Mantoux TB Skin Test within 12 months or health provider statement within 6 months.
• Possess a valid Food Handlers card.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education Teacher with implementation of Specialized Programs and IEPs.
• Assist in carrying out activities/work assignments for students in specialized programs.
• Implement services as outlined in the IEP for individual students.
• Follow lesson plans and collaborate with supervising staff.
• Maintain confidential records and FERPA compliance.
• Prepare instructional materials and attend district professional development.
• Support students in activities of daily living as needed.
