Job summary

Osseo Senior High in Osseo, Minnesota is seeking an Educational Support Professional - Special Education, Connect (Highly Qualified). The role supports students and assists the special education teacher in classroom operations, working with individuals or small groups as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and HQ status by the start date per Minnesota Department of Education. The district will pay for the ParaPro/ParaEducator assessment if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HQ status by start date per Minnesota Department of Education.
• Two years of college study (60 credits) or an associate's degree or passing ParaPro/ParaPathways.
• District will pay for the assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing students' special education instructional plans, including physical and behavioral management.
• Assist in implementing and following through of individual plans in all settings.
• Collect observational data on assigned students and report to supervising teacher.
• Assist in preparation, collection and maintenance of educational materials and equipment.
• Attend staffings, conferences and other meetings as requested by supervising teacher.
• Complete educational forms, reports and other data relevant to the student(s).
• Participate in district training programs prior to and during employment.
