Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional at Grovecrest Elementary. The position is non-contract, with 29 hours per week and an hourly rate starting at $15.69 (Untrained) or $16.70 (Trained) with in-district training option for lane 6.

The role supports the instructional program, supervises and assists students with special needs, implements plans, and coordinates with teachers. Competitive commute and a learning-focused environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Age 16+
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete mandatory employeetraining within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials under the supervising teacher to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Monitors student behavior and provides assistance in non-classroom times to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Provides instruction to students individually or in groups to reinforce learning concepts and reach academic goals.
• Assists in data collection and reporting to monitor student progress and communication with staff.
