Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking a SPED Instructional Paraprofessional for Grovecrest Elementary to support the instructional program and assist in caring for special needs students. This non-contract position offers 3 hours per day with an hourly pay ladder and opportunities for in-district training.

The role involves adapting activities, supervising students, data collection, and clerical tasks to help teachers meet IEP goals and ensure a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Must complete mandatory employee training within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts activities and materials under teacher direction to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Supervises students in various settings to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Provides instruction and assistance to students individually or in groups.
• Performs clerical duties to support school operations and record-keeping.
• Assists in implementing behavior plans and monitors student progress.
