Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional (Elementary) on a non-contract basis with 5.75 hours daily and an hourly rate between Lane 5 and Lane 6. The role supports instructional programs for special needs students, assists with IEP goals, and performs various classroom and clerical duties.

Qualifications

• Age 16+.

• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts activities, assignments and materials to support classroom objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed.
• Administers tests, homework and make-up work to support teachers.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self-care and daily living activities.
• Provides instruction to students in individual and group activities to reinforce concepts.
• Monitors students in various environments to maintain safety and order.
• Performs clerical duties to ensure efficient operations.
• Reports observations and incidents to appropriate staff.
• Supervises and escorts students to/from classes for safety.
