Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional - Secondary for a non-contract, no-benefits position. Schedule is 5–6 hours per day with hourly rates for untrained Lane 5 ($15.61) or trained Lane 6 ($16.62).

The role provides support to the instructional program and assistance to special needs students in the resource classroom. You will adapt activities, monitor behavior, assist with instruction and clerical duties, and participate in trainings.

Qualifications

• Age 16+
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities under supervision to support objectives.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Supervises students in various environments to maintain safety.
• Provides instruction and clerical support as needed.
