Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional/Special Education Para at Clear Springs Elementary to support individualized instruction for students with special needs. The assignment is 6.5 hours per day for 18 weeks, with a minimum hourly rate of $24.31 and benefit eligibility.

Responsibilities include assisting with self-care tasks, using CPI strategies, recording data, attending meetings, and supporting behavior plans under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must meet highly qualified status per MDE from day 1.
• Certification in Personal Care Assistant Training required.
• Experience supporting instruction in classroom preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior modification strategies.
• Training in CPI strategies preferred.
• Ability to maintain logs and data accurately.
• Strong organizational and confidentiality skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Support and monitor individualized instruction for students.
• Assist with self-care tasks; provide repositioning and basic medical procedures.
• Operate and supervise special education equipment.
• Apply management techniques to prevent self-destructive behaviors.
• Participate in IEP and school meetings.
• Record observational data and track attendance daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in training on third party reimbursement.
