Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Class D1 Special Education Paraprofessional for Deephaven Elementary in Minnesota. The role is 6.5 hours per day across 184 days per year, with a minimum hourly rate of $24.31.

You will support, modify, and monitor individualized instruction in academic, functional, and behavioral programs for students, assist with self-care tasks, operate assistive devices, and participate in IEP meetings as requested. Training in CPI strategies preferred.

Qualifications

• Support, modify, and monitor individualized instruction in academic, functional, and behavioral programs for special education students.
• Assist students with self-care tasks of feeding, dressing, and toileting; lifting may be required.
• Operate special education equipment and supervise safe use of devices.
• Document observational data and monitor attendance daily, maintaining logs and charts.
• Participate in IEP conferences and school meetings when requested.
• Willingness to train in third-party reimbursement tasks and CPI strategies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support, modify, and monitor individualized instruction for students.
• Assist with self-care tasks; assist with repositioning and ensuring safety.
• Operate wheelchairs and augmentative communication devices; supervise safe use.
• Apply student management techniques and help prevent self-destructive behaviors.
• Record data and maintain behavior charts and attendance regularly.
• Participate in district meetings and training programs for paraprofessionals.
