Job summary

Sylvania at Harrison K-8 School seeks a dedicated paraprofessional to support students and teachers during the 2026-2027 school year. The role provides instructional and supervisory assistance under supervision, with emphasis on assisting special education programming as needed.

The position is full-time, 163 days per year, with pay based on the Instructional Support Salary Schedule and eligibility for certified substitute pay.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalency.
• Proficiency on a district-administered assessment or possession of an AA preference degree or the equivalency of two years of undergraduate college classes may be required, unless working in Title I. If Title I, these qualifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, supervisory, general, and/or special educational assistance to students and teachers.
• Support Special Education programming under supervision of the special education teacher.
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, and the public.
• Follow schedules and routines under the direction of the supervising teacher and site administrator.
