Yuma Elementary School District ONE seeks a Paraprofessional - ESS Moderate/Severe (Specialized) for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports instructional programs and assists with supervision, care, and instruction of students with special needs in regular or self-contained classrooms.

Under supervision of teachers, you will implement IEP plans, monitor behavior, adapt activities, provide first aid, document daily activities, and attend meetings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Immunization proof for MMR and Hepatitis B.
• CPR/First Aid certificate.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Three professional references required.

Responsabilités

• Adapts activities and materials under teacher direction to support classroom objectives.
• Administers first aid and medical assistance as instructed.
• Administers tests and homework to support teachers.
• Assists students with hygiene for medically fragile or disabled students.
• Attends meetings and trainings to relay information related to job functions.
• Communicates with staff and parents to evaluate progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Documents daily activities for logs and hourly records.
• Maintains instructional materials and records to meet mandated requirements.
• Implements behavior plans designed by IEP team under supervision.
