Job summary

Yuma Elementary School District ONE is seeking a Paraprofessional - ESS Moderate/Severe (Preschool) to support the instructional program. You will assist in supervising, caring for and instructing special needs students in the regular or self-contained classroom and help implement IEP plans under the supervision of the assigned teacher.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, Tuberculosis Clearance, CPR/First Aid Certificate Renewal, and three professional references.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• TB clearance, CPR/First Aid certificate renewal required.
• Three (3) professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, under supervision, to support instructional objectives.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed for health care needs.
• Assists with tests, homework, and make-up work to support teachers in the classroom.
• Monitors students daily activities and behavior for documentation and safety.
• Implements IEP objectives and behavior plans under supervision.
• Maintains instructional materials and records to meet mandated requirements.
