Job summary

Osseo Area Schools is seeking staff to assist teaching staff in providing instructional support to scholars in the classroom. The role is part-time, 6 hours per day, 5 days a week, with a starting date of 10/12/2026.

Responsibilities include implementing special education plans, collecting data, preparing materials, and supporting staff during meetings and day-to-day classroom activities. Equal opportunity employer and diverse community engagement emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of college credits (60 credits) or AA/AS/AAS degree.
• Passing score on ParaPro/ParaEducator/ParaPathways.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing students' special education instructional plans focusing on functional academics, vocational skills, social-emotional needs, and behavior management.
• Assist in implementing and following through on students' individual plans in all program settings, including community job/volunteer sites.
• Collect observational data about assigned students and report to supervising teacher.
• Assist in preparation, collection and maintenance of educational materials and equipment.
• Participate in staffings, conferences and other meetings as requested by site administrator; complete educational forms and reports.
• Supervise students in large group, classroom, and small group settings.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Support classroom protocols and related duties as assigned by the team and site administrator.

Education
